Lisa Johnston Kane

Lisa’s story begins in the barn. She was a determined barn rat who worked her way into riding, grooming and training. She still rides, and the horse world — its people, its practical problems and its standards — still shapes how she works.

Before real estate, Lisa studied education and entrepreneurship and went on to own and operate three businesses, including a short-term rental company in Summit County that she ran for eleven years. Managing other people’s mountain homes taught her marketing, guest service and negotiation at close range, and it taught her what makes a property easy or hard to own.

Today she is a Broker Associate with Compass in Denver and a Certified Equestrian Property Specialist. Her work runs from multi-million-dollar estates and ranches to foothills retreats, custom homes on acreage and city residences. Before joining Compass, she practiced with Kentwood Real Estate and HomeSmart; MLS records show sales she has handled in 22 communities, from Timnath to Fountain.

Home, these days, is Riverfront Park in downtown Denver. That pairing — city life and country expertise — is the perspective she brings to every client: someone who understands both why you want the acreage and what it takes to keep it.
